We can’t say enough about our guide. Every day that we were with him was an adventure. His knowledge of Israel and the Middle East, it’s history, people, politics was boundless. We felt that he was totally in the moment with us, watched over us, shared his great stories, made us laugh and cared so much. Mostly, he is an incredible human being and his humanity, value of family and the joy he has in his work and country inspired us. We feel as if we have made a friend for life.
It would be impossible to pick our favorite day. Jerusalem, Massada, the Dead Sea Tiberius, Safed, our visit to the kibbutz, jeep ride, Golan and the borders, Tel Aviv, Mitzpe Ramon etc, etc, as well as our magical time in Jordan—how can you choose! It was all perfect.
Most importantly, it was the care and insight with the planning that made the difference. I felt as if you got to know us so well although we have never met face to face (hopefully that will change). The hotels were just to our taste as well as the special art tours, the meeting with wonderful Hava (and hearing about her extraordinary life and courage), all the guides and artists we met and the feeling that you were looking out for us from across the sea—all were exceptional.
It’s been a month since we have been home but it still feels as if we are there—and that is incredibly special. With all the traveling we have done, I don’t think I have ever felt so emotionally attached to a place as I do to Israel. We really can’t wait to go back.
So thank you, thank you, thank you.
