Hagit was wonderful - very helpful when we had to make some logistical changes due to my parents leaving early and switching travel due to the bronze medal game. It was also nice to have her offer suggestions as we navigated my dad’s health issue. She was attentive and kind and a real resource - please pass along my thanks.
Eilon was lovely. We had a great time with him. He is excellent at his job and we felt well taken care of everywhere we went. I started calling him the mayor because he knew everyone everywhere we went.
Haim our driver for the first three games was also excellent. He was patient with us as my dad needed a little more help and got us to the games on time every time. It was really nice to have him consistently be our driver for the games as well as everyone knew what to expect.
The accommodations overall were great.
The Inbal in Jerusalem was lovely (the breakfast was the best I have ever had anywhere in the world). The rooms were lovely.
The Intercontinental in Tel Aviv - was ideal. - having the gym and the lounge were incredibly helpful for Brian who just gets up early and it gave him places he could go and be really comfortable and not feel displaced while he let me sleep. And having the lounge for food became a life saver for my parents.
But of special note at the David Intercontinental was Martina in the lounge who was an absolute gem! She was so lovely and beyond resourceful and helpful especially when we really needed it with my parents. I would recommend the Intercontinental to everyone. In addition to the staff, the location of the hotel was perfect - so close to everything - the market, restaurants, shopping, the beach, Jaffa - all the things we were excited to do.
My favorite tour of the entire trip was the Ayalon Institute- not to miss - the highlight for me!
