The best thing that Susan did was to hand pick Eilon to be our guide throughout our trip. I cannot say enough superlatives about this wonderful character. His knowledge of history, the tales he tells, his outgoing personality and sense of humor, along with the love he has for Israel was evident daily. I felt that he was the "Godfather" of tour guides as I saw the respect he received from his fellow guides. Our trip would not have been the same without him. I consider myself lucky to have met him and feel I can call him a friend. I loved this guy!!
I have been telling my friends that Susan planned a vacation for us that was seamless. She starts by sending you a gift wrapped booklet that contains everything you need for your trip....itinerary, contacts while in Israel, general travel information and, even some useful Hebrew expressions. She picked perfect hotels with great locations and rooms with fantastic views. Fun things like a Sound and Light Show at the David Citadel Museum in Jerusalem, a jeep tour in the Golan Heights which brought us to a view of the Syrian border, a private tour guide in the Israel Museum made this a very special trip. Susan also helped greatly with picking restaurants and securing reservations wherever we were. And I have to mention the VIP service through customs on arrival and departure that made us feel like celebrities.
I don't know when it will be, but I know I will return to Israel. And when I do decide to go, the first thing I will do is to call Susan Weissberg to help me plan another extraordinary vacation to a country that I now appreciate so much more than I did prior to my visit.
